Ah, Nice — the French riviera, or as they say, Alpes-Maritimes. My favorite part of France. How could you not like a place that has palm trees like this as you step out of the airport:

Indeed the airport is in walking distance to the town center, which is something I did on occasion. I spent a number of weekends here as I was living in Zurich, because I just loved this place. Strolling or biking along the Promenade des Anglais:

Having dinner on the beach right next to the water:

Relaxing on the beach listening to the waves during the day, swimming in the warm water:

It’s just such an amazing, relaxing place. Places like Cannes are very close by, a short train ride away:

Would definitely recommend visiting Nice! I will leave you with this inspirational “Do Not Disturb” sign from one of the hotels I stayed at here:
