Celiac Travel

Planning for traveling the world is full of surprises. One surprise my husband and I recently encountered is celiac disease.

He had been tentatively diagnoses before but the doctor wanted to be sure. He put him on a 10 week filled glutenous binge to test him later.

During that time we traveled to Ecuador and indulged in all the gluten possible. Empanadas, biscuits, cakes, cookies, fried everything. Pork sandwiches. Ecuador enlighten our tastes buds in a culinary experience unmatched.

But on our return my husband ate his last dunkin’ donut and went to the doctors to test for confirmation.

It was confirmed.

So we’ll be traveling the world gluten free.

It was a heartbreaking realization. My husband remains thankful for his 10 weeks of gluten but it’s back to a GF lifestyle.

But that adds something to this site. This makes it a site not just for the foodie traveler but also for the traveler who is living a gluten free lifestyle or the traveler who is a celiac. Or their partners who want to support them, like myself.

It is entirely possible to travel the world while being a celiac. We venture to prove it to you.

Pro-Tip:

Trip advisor reviews are your BEST FRIEND! Just type in a location, search “gluten free” for restaurants and usually someone will leave a tip for where to go. It’s also good for deciding on locations. Like, Tokyo IS NOT a paradise for celiacs or those allergic to wheat. Rice Vinegar, which is put on Sushi has wheat in it. However, Buenos Aires is a paradise (for those who are not vegetarians). There are multiple gluten free restaurants and many meals are meat based. We even walked into a few places like Fervor and Gout Gluten Free where we received gluten free bread and a gluten free menu 🙂

Thanks for your write-up. One other thing is when you are advertising your property alone, one of the challenges you need to be alert to upfront is when to deal with property inspection accounts. As a FSBO vendor, the key about successfully shifting your property as well as saving money with real estate agent income is know-how. The more you recognize, the smoother your sales effort is going to be. One area exactly where this is particularly important is inspection reports.

naturally like your web-site but you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality however I?¦ll definitely come again again.
