Travel Where Warm

We are officially one step closer to realizing our travel plans. Why?

Because Christian has had a conversation with his boss and next is HR and he’s set the wheels in motion for his three to six month sabbatical whenever the year fits us.

So after this week — he’ll learn from his job if he has any preliminary approval and will get advice from his boss on the best time to go. Then we can start planning and set a date to set sail. What this means for me is that it’s show time.

By show time I mean planning time [ I planned our wedding two years in advance — I know — it’s an issue]. However, this time I promised myself to only book tours in places where we know it may be difficult for us and otherwise just ensure we have a roof over our head and a visa. I’m going to try to wing the rest…..

The first thing we discussed is weather. My husband loves warm things. He gets honest seasonal depression and can sit in the sun for hours while on a beach vacation.  So everywhere we go together needs to be at least 50 degrees with the exception of Antarctica.

We also have family obligations which may plant us in Europe for the month of September.

So where’s warm to travel? Below is our wish list of countries and when it’s warm. We took averages from major tourism hubs and capital cities.

Any other suggestions? Are you like us and need a warm place to travel or do you brave the cold?
